Since my teenage years I've been an avid coder, creating Proxmox servers for home automation, QOL programs such as todo-lists and finance trackers using the Monzo API and choose-your-own adventure games in Java and Python.
For my A-Level project I coded an aim trainer in C# and SQL that was awarded an A*. I then completed a degree in Psychology at the University of Birmingham to pursue my interest in neuroscience and human behaviour. Although I've gained a lot from my degree, including critical thinking skills, a grasp of advanced statistics, an introduciton to R and a greater understanding of how we work as people, ultimately I want to return to my roots as a programmer. Hence, for the past few months I have devoted myself to learning JavaScript, HTML and CSS in detail, expanding on what I already knew at A-Level. I've become familiar with industry standards such as developmental methodologies and patterns like Agile, MVC and CICD, accessibility standards such as WCAG and WAI-ARIA and responsive design. Feel free to browse my work below.
Throughout University I worked in catering, allowing me to build a strong customer-facing skillset, the ability to work independently and within a team and excellent communication skills. Further, it has provided valuable experience working within fast-paced environments were meeting deadlines is critical for success.
